L'Homme Invisible is launched in the early 80' by the fashion designer Patrice Chevreux, who wanted to create fashionable and elegant men's underwear. His concept is that how a man feels about his look depends on what he puts on first. The first models which he designed had an immediate success, especially a cotton-lycra boxer which is sold all over the world and becomes a 'standard' in men's underwear. Progressive underwear for style-conscious men L'Homme Invisible kept innovating for further men's comfort and elegance, either by implementing new technologies (i.e. new fabrics developed and special labelling*) or by designing avant-garde models.
Every new collection is designed in the purpose of improving men's comfort. Indeed, the summer 2004 collection has been developed so that the models be minimalist, following a sober aesthetic. All details have been carefully studied for the absolute comfort of men: there is no useless tricks and fewer seams, soft and antibacterial sewing yarns are used to obtain soft and very sensitive fabrics well-adapted to modern life, the cut-outs fit the natural forms of the male body. *in the early 90', L'Homme Invisible removed the labels sewn inside the models which could scratch and which were often cut out by the customer after the purchase: from then on the size, composition and maintenance indications are specified by a hot transfer label on all models.
